♪Summary~~ La Corda D'oro, or Kirino no Corda, is a manga by Yuki Kure, and this manga is currently ongoing, serialized in Hakusensha's Lala magazine. The first season anime adaptation is completed, though the second season is not yet confirmed.
In the prestigious musical school of Seiso Gakuen, there are two batches of students, the Musical and the Normal classes. Hino Kahoko, a 2nd year student in the Normal batch, met a musical fairy called Lili one day, whom bestowed on her a magical violin which allows her to play any musical piece perfectly. At first Kahoko was not interested, but was compelled to join the School's Musical Concours, which is highly acclaimed and happens only once in every few years. Together with students from the Musical classes: Hihara Kazuki who plays the tumpet and Yunoki Azuma who plays the flute from the third year; Tsukimori Len who plays the violin from the second year; Fuyuumi Shoko who plays the clarinet and Shimizu Keiichi who plays the cello from the first year; and finally, Tsuchiura Ryotaro who plays the piano from the second year in the Normal Batch, the curtains for the concours are finally drawn. It seems however, that Kahoko is facing quite a challenge in getting along with her fellow contestants, in addition to her troubles, the secret about her magical violin cannot be revealed...

The anime will help you get hang of things quicker than the manga, and there's nice classical music for you to listen to as well. ^^;
You might not like the anime ending though, like quite a number of people and me haha. Still the whole series was really REALLY pleasant and nice to watch. ^^
As for plot developments, definitely the manga. ^^ It's getting BETTER.

I agree. Everyone has their own appeals, it's really hard to choose.
Though my ultimate favourites are still Len, Hihara, Shimizu and Ryo. *In this order*
Actually I kinda like Ryo, but he seems abit too tough and physical. I like Shimizu because he's CUTE!! xDD And of course, Hihara because he's hilarious, happy-go-lucky and friendly~~~~

Well, I started liking him after Volume 5-ish and beginning of Volume 6. *__*
He turned ou to be NOT EVIL.

Does anyone here play an instrument? I play trumpet so even though Len is my fav I still have a soft spot for Hihara because I feel as though he's one of my trumpet buddies!!! ;)

You're welcome for the pics and banners well I can't stay much today,I have a mid term in 2 days and I haven't studied much so I have to start to do that,I don't feel like it but well school is important!I'll upload more things after these days with mid terms,actually I have one this week and another one or maybe two next week!
I don't know about you guys but I am Len's fan all the way,his attitude may not seem always good but I feel like there is more to it,he reminds me of more characters with this attitude who were actually really remarkable characters.Yunoki seems even worse than him,hehe at least Len doesn't put a fake face,but I don't dislike Yunoki either!
Concerning the discussion about instruments to be sincere I dreamed to learn to play the piano or the violin before the animes related to music but I didn't get to as I didn't get to do many things I dreamed of plus you need a little bit of talent for some of them and practice too and many other things but I hope that my kids will have these opportunities,I'll make sure of that,hehe!

Even though he's harsh at times, I think ..he's really not like that.

@taisa08/Mira-chan: YESHUU. REN ALL THE WAY!! I'm an ultimate Ren fan too. At first I really REALLY disliked him because of his indifferent attitude to everything around him, but recently he's been learning how to open up and I really really start to like him more than Ryo! *I liked Ryo at first...*
And then in came Hihara and Ryo was pushed to third place on my list. xDD
@Destiny-chan: True. VK has released up to V5 EL scans while Japan has up till V9 released... @___@ That also means I gotta work on my La Corda translations as well... X_x

@Destiny-chan/Wingy-chan: I read the Chinese scans. ^^;;; And VK has just only released La Corda up to V4. *My mistake, not V5, because I'm the one doing V5... T_T*
And the Chinese scans are fast, up to Chapter 43. Chapter 44 is not yet released... *Leaves me in despair*

Mee too. I can't find scans anywhere but i'm not really very good at searching so if anyone knows where i can find scans pwease share info. *begs* I love all the banners, there so pretty everyone! I can't pick between all the bishies, they all have such great and unique personalities that makes me like them all more. I think i need to read more. Currently i think if i have to say my fav character is the violin spirit/sprite cuz its so cute!! And has such a pesky personality and is great at making kahoko grow as a person. She really seems to bring everyone together and make them all closer. I wanna learn to play the violin, piano, and harp. They are all such beautiful instruments and have a life on their own when they are played. Squee!!!
